SPORTS!! What comes to your mind when I say the word “SPORTS”?
Is it
cricket, football, world records, star sports, Messi vs Ronald, M S Dhoni, Swimming,
Micheal Phelps, Running or Usain Bolt. Some people might not be so interested
in sports but most of the people just love sports and I’m that kind of a person
who loves sports because it keeps me fit and healthy, .I get to do lot of outdoor activities and a
variety of sports whole day .I can run and be an athlete or I can just play
flag tag with my friends.I believe sports helps me a lot in my life .As am a
sports person my life is “SPORTS”.
Firstly I believe to be a sport person I need to be fit and
healthy .I follow a strict diet like any
other sportsmen .I follow a diet plan because it helps me to increase my muscle
strength and weight which is needed to make my arms and legs stronger and
maintain a proper weight for my age . Swimming and Running are my most preferred and favourite sports of all .To
excel in these I need to follow a simple diet , but actually not so simple to
follow as a kid.
To be healthy I eat ragi, green vegetables, brown rice and
lot of items which are rich in protein and many more healthy foods. I do a lot
of physical training. I practise my main sports thoroughly so I can be the
first person to participate in two sports in Olympics. This is the biggest goal
in my life, Win or lose I don’t care about medals I want to be the first Indian
to participate and represent our country.
Secondly I’m the kind of the person who likes to run around
a lot. Me and my friends play a lot of games which include running around like
manhunt, Capture the flag (CTF), tag, football, cricket, and basketball.
Manhunt is not a game of hunting where we have to hunt for people, it’s a game where
we have to catch other people it’s
basically a chain tag but without holding hands. Capture the flag (CTF)-Here
there are two teams and each team gets a turn to hide the flag in their own territory.
This game is not so easy because we have to be intelligent, skill full and very
tactful and very quick and fast in running. These two games help me a lot in
running competition or to participate in
“Midnight Marathon” this happens every year mostly in the month of Dec.
This year it was on 5th of this month. I participated in community
relay and 5K run .In relay we came 8th place and in 5K run I was the
5th person to complete the race/fun run which was open for all age
groups and any gender. There are many more runs in marathon like 1k, 5k,
10k,21k,42k and the last two are held age fun of runnint midnight and those are
called as midnight marathon. Milka singh
and Mary Kom where the two great sport celebrities who often come and
share their experience with the marathon runners.
I always go for the
midnight marathon. My team includes my Avi, Ronnie, me, Nirver who is also a coach in inventure and
his dad, unfortunately we lost by one place for the grand prize. Last year we came first out of 36 teams and that was one
of the best times in my life. Ultimately it’s not about winning or losing,its
just for the fun of running around a lot. Competing in midnight marathon just
adds some fun for it.
Finally, there are a variety of sports I can play.However I do
have a preference, I like swimming and running more than any other sports. I
also do a pair and group of sports called as Diathlon and Triathlon.
Diathlon –It’s a combination of running and swimming and
Triatlon – is a combination of three sports that’s swimming ,running and
cycling. Triatlon may sound easy as its running and cycling and most of the
people can easily do but as in also includes swimming it might be a bit tough
for most of the people.I selected swimming to continue as my fav sport as I won
lot of medals in my last five years and running as I was one of them who broke
the national record at the age of 8 ,I even got a certificate with Barrack
Obama signature on it for breaking the record at that age .
To conclude ,I think sports are really important in my Life.
No one can stop anyone from loving sports.I would like to thank all those
people who invented these sports or else I would have been a nerd. I simply
love sports!!and I want to encourage all my friends to take part in any sports
,it can be indoor or outdoor .It really helps us to be fit and healthy .It also
improves our concentration and have a very disciplined life.
