Water is the essence of life - Aryaman Kumar

                                 

Earth the only planet with life. Why it has water unlike any other planet.  Humans, plants and animals all depend on water. Over the decades or water is being polluted massively by human. I believe water is the essence of life. One reason is water is the main reason for life. Then I also believe that water helps us be clean and fresh. Then finally believe water is more precious than gold. The only thing, which can save us, is water.

Firstly I believe water is the main reason for life. Besides being important for living we also need water for many other activities. Nearly 1 billion people rely on fishing. Water is also used for transportation, shipping many important goods to various countries. Shipping and cargo have been around way before planes and cars. In the coastal areas many people are also dependant on water for tourism. You can be in the hotel industry, guides, divers, boating etc. So many people need water to get jobs.

Humans, animals and plants need water for different things. Humans use it to drink, to cook, to clean and al so for electricity. Animals not only use it for drinking but billions of them also consider water as a home like in rivers and ocean. Plants use water for photosynthesis, which helps them make food. Water is the essence of life, without it nothing can live.

Secondly I think water helps us clean and fresh. Once there was no water in my complex the entire day. That day was a nightmare! We could not wash our hands, cook food, or even clean the house. To add to that misery it was 36 C outside so it was really hot. The people in my house all went to work. So I was all alone with my dog. Soon I got really thirsty, I think I might have been dehydrated if I didn’t have 2 cool apple juices .I went back to my room to read Alex Rider Skeleton Key. I was so relieved when the water came back at 7:00 pm. I could have a cool refreshing shower now. There was no water in our complex and there was no peace at our house, there was mayhem! Some people in the world don’t have access to water for days on end. I wonder if there was no water in our taps everyday.

Finally I think water is more important than gold. I love to have soft drinks like Fanta, coke etc, but when I was watching a documentary I realized how people in Rajasthan don’t have water. The coca cola factory had sucked up all the water in that area. Its nearly 60 C over there. They had sucked up all the freshwater to make soft drinks. So unfortunately villagers had to go to other villages to get a bottle of water. I thought to myself why are they making soft drinks while villagers don’t have water. We cant live on soft drinks but we can on water. We gain absolutely nothing form soft drinks but lose money and water. Water should be free for the people who cant afford it.

Writing about water reminds me of a saying “ Water water everywhere but not a single drop to drink “. This means that even when there is lots of water around, no one can drink it because it is so polluted. The world desperately needs help. Only water can save humanity.
