If there is a problem, there is a solution - Arushi Menon

Many people don’t realise it but children can persuade people very well or in other words “it’s not about the dog in the fight it’s about the fight in the dog”. I say this because it’s not about how big or tall you are, it’s about how persuading and confident you are. I believe that children can persuade people when they have to voice their opinions or there is an environmental crisis involved.
Let me tell you a story…. once upon a time.no wait stop! This Is not a fairy tale let me start again. One day, my bus had just dropped me at the bus stop. the bus stop is about 5-10 minutes away from the bus stop so walking is not an option (at least not for me). Obviously my lazy self-decided to cycle home. now this is where I stop you, this is how our security system works… when a person is walking past the gate the car inside must stop and wait for the person/car to pass. Anyway, once I hoped onto my cycle and started to pedal I passed the gate pedalling at a slow speed. Out of nowhere (the gate) a bike came crashing into my cycle, well I didn’t really crash into me per say but it did hit my tire which made the cycle fall on me. I didn’t get hurt except for a small scab but I didn’t really care for that instead I was filled with frustration. I hoped on my cycle and let the matter go…. for now.
I knew that I had to do something about it so I called a few friends who had also faced this issue.30 minutes later my friends and I found ourselves outside the manager’s office.  “are we really doing this?” I said “oh come on now it won’t be that bad” said my friend. Doubts clouded in my head but I didn’t hesitate and knocked on the door. We waited for someone to say come in and once they did we walked in. the room was yellow and red like a circus tent. Warm but cold, small but big. “lets get out of this claustrophobic death trap!” I whispered under my breath. My friend took the lead and explained why we wanted to change the security system at the gate while the rest of us tried looking even the slightest bit confident. “explain to me these so called incidents” he said. I explained the incidents in order from first alarming to the least alarming. “this isn’t the first time I am hearing this so we will take it into consideration”. We nodded our heads and walked out the room. Once I got back home my had told me that she sent an email about this matter so I wouldn’t be all that surprised If our idea was used. A few days later I got a letter that said our idea had been taken into consideration and had been used.  I was extremely happy and rushing with adrenaline even though I knew it was 50% my mom’s help.
`this shows me that kids can persuade people.
Secondly, here is a story on an environmental crisis.
Bright sunny day. He clods were frost white but we still had our community’s annual meetings.  Nobody really goes for these things but since I had an important matter to discuss I went. The seats were sticky so I decided not to stay long, I walked to the meetings head and told her about our sewage and how it goes through a pipe and then it is dumped into a nearby water body. The lady told me that I had a very good idea and that my idea would be taken into consideration. In the next meeting they announced that my idea was up and running.  I couldn’t believe that I did it this just goes to show how children can persuade people.
To conclude, age is not an obstacle to overcome if you’re persuading someone after all it is just a number. The things that my friends and I did anyone can do it. When children persuade people it comes out as a surprise so you will not only persuade someone you will gain respect.
Age is not a factor after all if there is a problem there is a solution!...
