Everbody needs Encouragement - Aditya Chauhan

Believe it or not, every body needs encouragement at some point of their lives.
Have you ever thought that how important encouragement is for young people? That is why in my opinion, young people need encouragement, to help them achieve goals. Especially when they have a difficult job to do or when they lose confidence and when they need direction.

Firstly, I believe that a little encouragement can help young people when they have a tough job ahead of them. It is likely that they could feel lost or feel overwhelmed with the tough task. Encouragement from a elder brother to younger brother could fix this. I know this because it happened to me.

Once on an Inme outbound trip, on the last day
of camp we were going for tree jumaring . jumaring might sound like a funny word but it is actually a unique  way  of climbing long trees .  When we left we had a short trek to the “jumaring site”. Till then I had grown quite fond of a particular instructor who name was Ajiguja! No not really, but that’s what we called him fondly. When we reached. I felt a wave of emotions because I saw some ropes hanging from a thirty – forty foot high tree ! I felt excited, curious and wonderful all at the same time. Another instructor on the team gave us a demo and that’s when I got to know how to do it.

Then Ajiguja Sir surprisingly told me to go first. So, in Jumaring what one has to do is put ypur leg inside the loop and then pull the thing, which holds the rope. That is a ‘Jumar’. Then pull it. After that pull your leg, then pull again. I did around 10 times when I got stuck. I became very tired and I just could not pull it.

That’s when an instructor started encouraging me by saying “ come on”, “good position”. At last I took another step and finished the tough task.

This shows that encouragement from elders can lead to victory, especially when you have a tough task.

Secondly, I believe that a little encouragement from elders helps young people when they lose confidence in themselves.

Once on a camping trip, we were going to the ‘Rappelling site’. Now if you aren’t familiar with rappelling, rappelling is actually when you climb down a mountain in 90 degree angle posture, holding on to a rope. So when we reached the site, we were all extremely excited. We had to wait for the instructors to set it up and then the fun began… I was as excited as a baby bird learning how to fly! Before we started. The instructors demonstrated how this activity was to be done. It was really exciting. Unfortunately when we line up, I was third from the back so naturally it took some time.

When it was my chance, Ajiguja sir asked me to put on my harness, the helmet and the safety gloves (also known as mittens). Wen I started off I went pretty slow but then I went really fast. As a result I got stuck. It was a cavity in the mountain. Then the instructor told me to go right and gave me confidence. As it was a cure I went right and I finally ended up doing it.

This shows that confidence can be such a cure to your worries.

Finally, I think that young people need encouragement when they need direction.

Once on a normal Saturday my brother and I were doing our homework. In about an hour I was finished with my homework. So I started playing on my computer. After a few hours , as an elder brother, I thought why is he taking so much time?

Then I went to him and asked him “When will your H.W get over?” He said, “ I don’t know”. So I decided to help him. And I did. I explained some sums to him and with my help; he completed it in no time.

No, I come to realize that we all have capability to do it, only that we need direction, or in other words a place to start…

Alas! I think everybody even you need some kind of encouragement at one point in your life. It maybe when you’re feeling sad, stressed, guilty, shy, anything. So my friend, I think all of us should take some time to encourage our friends, siblings, anybody who needs it because in the end, you will need it too!!!!!

!!!!THE END!!!
